Description

2011 marks the 350th anniversary of the signing of the royal charter for Falmouth. October 5th 1661 King Charles II signed the act, thereby making Falmouth an official town. An exciting series of town wide events and activities are planned and the events can be viewed here:

Sept 24th -Oct 8th (10 - 5 Monday - Saturday) Falmouth Art Gallery Exhibition “Historical Falmouth -Artist’s Views”.
Oct 2nd - Oct 8th 1000 hrs Come and join in to help build two Heritage boats.
October 2nd 1500 hrs Band of the H.M.Royal Marines on the Moor
1530 Civic parade to Falmouth Parish Church.
1600 Church Service
1700 Parade to Events Square.
1800 Civic Reception
October 3rd 1230 hrs at NMMC Lunchtime lecture “Then and Now” by David Barnicoat.
1930 hrs VIP reception at the World Premiere of the play “Remember”

October 5th 350TH Anniversary Day of the signing of the Town Charter by King Charles II
1000hrs and 1300hrs “For King and Kernow” an enactment of street theatre between the Royalists and Parliamentarians through the town from the Moor to Events Square. .
